  • Ticketmaster to be more transparent about fees

Following the Taylor Swift Eras Tour ticket debacle, the President and CEO of Live Nation—the parent company of Ticketmaster—Michael Rapino said, according to Billboard: “We all want to know what is the true cost to see the show when we start shopping, adding that he wanted transparent pricing to be “mandated tomorrow across the board” which would “relieve a lot of the stress [and] the consumer’s perception that there’s this magical extra fee added on.”

“We’ve got to now go out and do a much better job so policymakers and consumers understand how the business operates,” he added.

“We’ve historically not had a big incentive to shout out loud that venues are charging high service fees or artist costs are expensive. But I think now [that] education is paramount.”

  • A long history of collaboration

Drake and 21 Savage frequently collaborate on tracks together.

Aside from Jimmy Cooks from Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind album from 2022, the duo also released Knife Talk from Certified Lover Boy, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Previously, the pair participated in the first live performance of Jimmy Cooks at an event for Morehouse and Spelman alumni in October.

Drake made a surprise appearance at 21 Savage’s hometown Atlanta gig, where the two both sang Knife Talk and Drake also sang his smash song, Nonstop.

  • Seats for day two in Miami

Below is the seat map for Drake's tour stop in Miami, Florida on June 29.

There are limited tickets available as most are resale or platinum seats.

  • Seat map for Wells Fargo Center

Below is a seat map of the Wells Fargo Center for the show in Philadelphia on August 1, 2023.

Ticket buyers were redirected to the official Wells Fargo Center website to purchase tickets instead of going through Ticketmaster.

Currently, there are plenty of seats still available and tickets range from $144.50 to $449.50.

However, depending on which seat you choose, there are ticket fees ranging from $26-$59.

  • Beware of resell tickets

According to a recent survey by Aventus, one-third of eventgoers have purchased a ticket from scalpers.

The best way to buy tickets is from the venue or Ticketmaster as soon as possible, however, if the bots beat you to it, try to purchase from a vendor that has a consumer protection policy or is registered with the National Association of Ticket Brokers.

Prior to purchasing tickets from a reseller, research average prices for tickets so you’re not significantly overpaying.

Purchasing with a credit card can also give an added level of security and using a digital transfer like Ticketmaster’s fan-to-fan exchange can further prevent scams.

You can also call the box office of the venue after purchasing the tickets to verify the barcode is real.

  • Avoiding dynamic pricing

Fans may need to wait until there is less demand for tickets in order to avoid price hikes caused by dynamic pricing, which goes up when tickets are in high demand, the Scotsman reports.

When tickets go on sale, ticket prices that are subject to dynamic pricing will rise, and they are more likely to drop once other fans have purchased them.

Yet doing so might cause concerts and other events to sell out.

Using promotional access lists, such as a pre-sale, is another method of avoiding changing ticket prices.

  • Fan says Ticketmaster crashed for Montreal tickets

A fan complained to Ticketmaster explaining that the site had crashed when trying to get tickets for Drake's show in Montreal.

The website is completely crashed for the montreal tickets. It’s used to be so easy to buy tickets. Answer us, please ! Why does it says 403 on your page

  • What Ticketmaster has said previously about dynamic pricing

Following some backlash over dynamic pricing, Ticketmaster previously said in a statement: “The promoters and artist representatives determine the specific pricing for their shows.

“The biggest factor that drives pricing is supply and demand. When there are far more people who want to attend an event than there are tickets available, prices go up.”

  • Dynamic pricing, explained

Live Nation, the owners of Ticketmaster, uses dynamic pricing, which causes ticket prices to rise in response to demand, per the Scotsman.

According to reports, this action is justified in order to stop tickets from being purchased via secondary ticket marketplaces and transferred.

The increased revenue from more expensive tickets would go to the performer as well.

Historically, more expensive or exclusive seats, such as the front row, are subject to dynamic pricing.

Importantly, Live Nation asserts that the artist, not the company automatically, enforces Ticketmaster dynamic pricing.

  • Fans in disbelief that Houston show sold out within minutes

Fans took to Twitter to share their disbelief that tickets for one of the Houston shows sold out within two minutes, which has not been confirmed.

"I need an explanation of how tf Houston tickets sold out in literally two minutes," one fan complained.

Theres no way Drake tickets for houston sold out in 2 minutes bro there’s no way

  • Mostly verified resale and platinum tickets available

With many tickets sold and resold, slim tickets remain at face value for the It Was All A Blur Tour starring Drake and 21 Savage.

Many tickets that are available for purchase are over $100 and some even sell for thousands of dollars.

For the lucky fans that were able to secure tickets to Drake and 21 Savage, they were quick to share it on Twitter.
